PLEASE HELP BRING BRUNO BACK!
Nearly 3 years ago our friend Louise met a guy from Australia who we all thought was a caring and charming man. She took a massive leap of faith, married him and emigrated to Australia, to be with him and took her fur baby Bruno with her. You will not meet a more amazing dog!
It wasn’t too long before he became controlling and abusive. She tried desperately to make things work but became increasingly unhappy.
Unfortunately, nearly a year ago Louise tripped on a kerb and badly broke her ankle. After having an operation in Australia to put in pins, she needed further treatment and due to visa restrictions and her dad becoming seriously unwell, had to return to the UK for another operation.
During this time, Louise’s husband became increasingly abusive, ordering her to get back to Australia and making threats towards the dog.
Then…on the 29th December 2019 her husband claimed that Bruno had gotten into the bins outside and had been poisoned. He waited nearly 12hrs to take him to the vet as he said he didn’t have any money. Having basically being threatened with either the RSPCA or the police, he took Bruno to the vets. After extensive and expensive treatment, Bruno has luckily pulled through but it was agreed with the vet and Louise that Bruno would not be returned to her husband. Bruno is currently in boarding kennels until the money to get him home can be raised. He will be ready to fly in 3 weeks. This is where we really need your help.
The vets and boarding kennel people have very kindly said they will wait a few weeks for payment as they are fully aware of the difficult situation but as Louise cannot work due to her ongoing recovery from the surgery, and still being on crutches, she needs help in raising enough for his treatment, care and long journey home.
She loves her Bruno so much and it would mean the world to her to have him back and would be amazing if we're able to make this happen for such a lovely, caring person!
If you can help by donating, anything you can, this will be a massive help to get her fur baby home. The vets and dog boarders have been amazing in communication with Louise and are really hopeful he can be reunited with his mum soon.
