Hello, My name is Sarah. My fiancé Billy is 29 years old, &  was diagnosed with Stage 4 hepatocellular carcinoma (A type of liver cancer) 2 weeks ago, & our lives have turned UPSIDE DOWN!! My fiancé is a Army Veteran, and has always been the poster child for perfect health. The ONLY THING he’s ever struggled with is migraines!!!! He suddenly started losing weight, RAPIDLY!!!! Like, at a SCARY RATE!! He kept getting shaky, pale, REALLY confused, irritable, at times so confused, incoherent, & irritable that he would seem as if he was someone else completely!! Then he began passing out. I got a text from him one evening while he was at work that made absolutely NO SENSE! He had complained of a migraine earlier that afternoon, so I called him to check on him. He was incoherently talking, making no sense, for several minutes. FINALLY he was able to put the words together “Call....Floor.....PASSED....Sitting....INSIDE!!!!!.....HELP!!!!”....I immediately hung up & called his work & told them they needed to go find Billy, as he was apparently having a medical event, & wasn’t coherent enough to tell me WHERE he was, but only that he was down on the shop floor somewhere!! I advised them I was actually in town, & was in route with a 3-5 minute ETA. His boss was waiting for me when I pulled in the parking lot & told me which bay he was at. They didn’t bother to call 911 when they found him. I nearly had to CARRY HIM TO MY SUV while his male coworkers stood & watched him struggling & me ( I’m only barely 5ft 1in, mind you!!) practically carrying a 5ft 7in man to my SUV & buckling his seatbelt fit him! NOBODY OFFERED TO HELP!! I took him to the ER. They treated him for a migraine & sent us on our way. I KNEW this was more than a migraine!! Billy refused to go back to the doctor because they just kept saying it was “a migraine”.  I FINALLY FORCED HIM to go to the doctor after begging him to go for 3.5 months!!!! It has been an absolute DISASTER trying to get answers, to get SOMEONE, ANYONE to just LISTEN to us, & not just automatically DISMISS US, with the reasoning “He’s as healthy as a horse, just needs to East more!!” NO!! I advocated for him every way I knew how!! I KNEW IN MY HEART & MY GUT SOMETHING WAS REALLY WRONG!! I’ve literally sat here & been FORCED to watch my STRONG AS AN OX, DETERMINED, HARD WORKING, SOUL MATE WITHER AWAY TO LITERAL SKIN & BONES.... And NOBODY would listen!!!It wasn’t until Billy went from 157 pounds 4 months ago to 96 pounds 2 weeks ago, that SOMEONE FINALLY CARED ENOUGH TO LISTEN!! Through imaging, labs, more imaging, a ton more labs, we were given the worst possible news. WE WERE ABSOLUTELY BLIND SIDED!! I truly thought they were going to tell us he was diabetic, especially since diabetes runs several generations back in his family, & his father just passed from it last year. This news has absolutely DEVASTATED US!! The ONLY TREATMENT OPTION we have, is 7 hours away, at Vanderbilt in Nashville... Financially, it’s not possible to get him there, because his job decided to FIRE HIM while he was TECHNICALLY on a C-19 quarantine!! (The doctor that FINALLY LISTENED began all of this with a C-test & mandatory quarantine which is when they FIRED BILLY!!)  My income, even with making good money in my profession , isn’t even covering ALL of our bills, because we JUST BOUGHT OUR HOUSE in JUNE & our SUV in February!!! He only has 4-6 weeks AT BEST without treatment.. I will NOT be able to live with myself, if I do not find a way to JUST GET HIM TO VANDERBILT!! I will sleep in our a SUV, I will go hungry, I’m NOT worried about myself, I JUST NEED TO GET BILLY TO VANDERBILT, & be able to cover our bare necessities from his loss of income due to his job FIRING HIM while on a C-19 quarantine!! I am SO BROKEN!!! WE are SO lost!! If you could PLEASE PLEASE find it in your heart to help us, we would be FOREVER grateful!! Billy, our 10 year old son, & I are known for doing a lot of random acts of kindness, adopting families for Christmas, etc. so it’s really REALLY hard to be in this position now, having to beg for help!! Thank you so much, & God Bless! Here are photos to show the progression of how this has taken over his body in just 4 short months, since the symptoms began!! In between my work calls (I work from home due to our office being closed due to Covid!) I usually sit & hold my necklace & ugly cry, gut wrenching sobs. I feel like I have failed my fiancé. Please, I am absolutely begging anyone that may read this, if you can PLEASE spare even $1.00, it would help tremendously!! Thank you, so very much!! ❤️❤️

Sincerely,
Sarah
