Please help Ben. Severely injured by Hit and Run.

My friends lovely, amazing, beautiful boy, Ben was hit by a car last night.
Even though he was in a huge hi Viz jacket!
The Person performed a Hit and Run drove away from the scene instantly and left him severely Injured at the side of the road.
Luckily he had his friends there and his Mum arrived at the scene very quickly then he was rushed to hospital in an albulance.
He is currently in hospital in the ICU.
He has a badly broken leg which he has had his first operation on and is due for another later today or tomorrow and is currently in an induced coma. They brought him around slightly in the night and all signs were good. He is going down to theatre in half an hour for surgery on his neck. It's a very delicate operation through the front of his throat. If they are unable to stabilise the neck they will then go in through the back.
Fracture in one of the vertebrae of the neck there was pressure on the spinal cord which caused paralysis of the left arm. He's going into surgery now.
Ben will most likely be in hospital for a while recovering, I am looking to try help him and the family for contributions,for they're travel, parking, fuel and accommodation as he is in a hospital away from his home and his mum would like to stay close to him. Also something to help lift the strain whilst they are helping Ben recover. Unsure when he will be out of hospital but when he does he'll need full time care and he's going to go crazy be that inactive as we all know he can't sit still for 2 minutes usually!!!!!!!!
This is every Mother and parents worst nightmare finding your son at the side of the road if anyone can help chip in a few quid to help this beautiful family get through this difficult time it would be much appreciated.
Avril is very greatful for everyone's help so far and I'm sure Ben will be when he wakes up. Bless him! Couldn't of happened to a nicer hearted boy.
