24 miles for 24 hour care. Please donate.

For those of you who know me, you will know that at the end of 2015 my families life was flipped upside down. After many months of numerous tests and investigations my dad (Stephen Frith), was informed he had terminal cancer and was given the horrendous news of only having months to live. During this emotional and life changing period, both my dad and the wider family found great comfort and support from the staff and facility that St Luke’s hospice offered. Not only did they make sure my dad had EVERYTHING he needed, but they also ran support groups for family members in order to come to terms with the situation they were facing. I will never forget the Christmas of 2015, when laid in his bed that morning he was awoken by Father Christmas. One of the volunteers had come in dressed head to toe as Father Christmas, giving each patient the biggest hamper of toiletries and goodies you could imagine. The kindness and generosity of volunteers made my dads last Christmas and allowed us to find peace. For many years now I have wanted to give something back, as a thank you, as a way of saying “you might not be the NHS, but your service is above and beyond any national health institute”.

In honour of my dads life, me and Jack Deakin will be attempting to complete the three Yorkshire peaks in under 12 hours (24 miles). This demanding yet rewarding one-day trekking challenge takes us to the summits of Pen-y-Ghent (694m/2,276 ft), Whernside (736m/2,415 ft) and Ingleborough (723m/2,372 ft), all in one circular route starting and ending in Horton-in-Ribblesdale.

We will be putting our boots on in September 2022 (exact date to be confirmed).

Do you want to join me in making a difference? If so then please donate (any amount is welcomed). I know times are hard at the minute but a donation of £1 can go along way when we all pull together.

Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
