fundraiser to help skutch with expenses

As many of you have already heard.  Our dear friend Skutchs' son Silas has passed away. 

I could write somthing here but I will let the words of his daughter speak for their family :

"I learned yesterday that my brother Silas passed away in an accident on Wednesday March 24th. While his passing leaves an immense hole in our hearts and lives, I’m thankful to have shared so many wonderful experiences with him throughout the 18 years of his life. He was the best brother, friend, and travel companion I could’ve asked for, and I’m blessed to have been part of his family. 

He was an exceptional person in many ways, and his kind spirit and adventurous personality touched many people during his (unfortunately short) life. He was passionate about skateboarding, art and music, and the memory of his creativity will live on through his many drawings, videos, music and presence in the local skate scene. 

My family has already received an outpouring of love from those who knew Silas, and we appreciate everything that so many people have done to show love for my brother in the past few years. For all the people who supported and cared for Silas during the challenging last several months of his time with us, I want to sincerely thank you for seeking to understand and connect with him despite his struggle with mental illness. Your efforts do not go unnoticed. "

While financial things are not what one thinks of during this time , there are inherent costs that come with such a tragedy.
