We are saddened to let you know, that our model, Monyjok Deng, was suddenly diagnosed with Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) and is currently in hospital receiving chemotherapy for this horrible blood cancer.

Monyjok is a refugee and was rescued by the Red Cross after fleeing the war in South Sudan as a child. He came to Europe from the Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya, where his mother, sister, nieces & nephews still live. He has been living & working in London and is a wonderful, humble young man. If you have had the pleasure of working with him, you will know this to be true. Every penny that he earns he sends to his family, he wants to one day open a school for young people in the camp, and has honorable aspirations that we truly believe he can achieve.

Linden Staub are beyond proud to be supporting him through his career & whilst we are devastated by this turn of events we are confident Monyjok will make a full recovery, however he has some intense treatment ahead of him, beginning with in-patient chemotherapy for 5 weeks, beyond this, we aren’t sure how his treatment looks, but we will continue to support him every step of the way.

We are working on obtaining his mother a passport so she can travel here and support him whilst he goes through chemotherapy, and in the meantime, we are his family here, and we’re doing everything we can to make his treatment comfortable.

We are raising money for Monyjok to contribute towards his rent & costs whilst he cannot work & is in hospital - which is for the foreseeable future. All funds raised will go towards this, and will also be used to support the costs of his mother’s travel & costs if & when she is able to travel to the UK.

We want to help this wonderful young man who has overcome so much already in his life, to now overcome this horrible disease with the dignity & care that he deserves.
