Play-a-thon for Frankie
Donation protected
On September 12, 2019, Frankie Berko passed away after an epileptic seizure. He was 10 years old. Frankie loved life, and he loved everyone in it. His joyful and vibrant spirit touched all of those who knew him.
On December 7, 2019, piano students in Frankie's community will hold a play-a-thon to raise money for the Epilepsy Foundation. Frankie played drums and piano and loved music. We will attempt to play music for 5 hours straight to raise donations and awareness for epilepsy research.
1 in 26 people in the United States will develop epilepsy at some point in their lifetime, according to the Epilepsy Foundation. Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP) occurs in 1 in 1,000 people with epilepsy each year. Desperately needed research can help prevent early, unexpected deaths like that of sweet Frankie.
To pledge a donation based on hours of music played, please contact [email redacted]. To donate directly please click the donate button. Your donation will go to the Epilepsy Foundation in memory of Frankie. Thank you in advance for your support.
