Play Your Part: HOOLIGAN Fundraiser

HOOLIGAN Theatre Company is a student group on the UCLA campus dedicated to providing educational and professional theatre to students of all majors and experience levels. HOOLIGAN began in 2006 as a group of friends who were passionate about theatre and has since grown into a group of 200 students performing in over seven events a year. This company has provided a home and a place of expression for countless UCLA students over the years-- some who have been performing their whole lives and others who got their first chance on a stage in one of our productions. Our mission is to continue to bring together students of all different backgrounds to grow and love through theatre.

This year, for our 14th season, our four main stage shows are: Singin' in the Rain, Fame, Catch Me If You Can and Alice and Wonderland. We will also be producing our annual One Acts Festival, Educational Showcase and 24 Hour Musical and we could not be more excited!

As said in every one of our end of show speeches, student theatre is very expensive to produce. Last year, our production budget exceeded $115,000. As costs rise, venue spaces become more limited and funding from the university decreases, the amount of money that needs to be personally fundraised by our cast and crew members also must increase. Our goal is to limit financial burdens places on the members of our company while also producing the best quality shows possible. This is why we are reaching out to our family and friends to ask for donations in hopes of making our 14th season the best it can be!
