Play and Learn! Cleats and Books Fundraiser!

Play and Learn Foundation is a non-profit organization that is wholeheartedly dedicated to bettering the lives of children in various communities in Ghana. Through football (soccer), private tutoring, organized group readings, awareness walks, and a variety of other programs, these special boys and girls are able to pave a path toward a future that they deserve.
Football is a huge part of Play and Learn and an outlet for so many children, and unfortunately, most of them cannot afford cleats. We want to provide these kids with the opportunity to succeed in whatever way will empower them, and that can start with something as simple as a pair of shoes or a new football. Play and Learn has a goal to raise $2000 for their football programs by December. This money will go to 70 kids in the program in need of new cleats along with proper training equipment, balls, and more!
As for the learn part of Play and Learn, there is a need for a much larger collections of books for the weekly reading sessions with the kids, as well as in the library of the La Bawalashie school, a local primary school where volunteers are based during the week. Sufficiently stimulating the kids in ways that equally excite and educate is very important to the foundation, and that requires resources that are not easy to supply. Play and Learn has a goal to raise $1500 by December for their learning programs. This money will go towards books by African writers, puzzles, and problem solving books.
With that, we are asking of anyone that wants and is able to contribute to the Play and Learn Foundation's goals. In the words of A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Let us sacrifice our today so that our children can have a better tomorrow.
