Electric mobility scooter needed
Dr. Patti Jo King, a respected Cherokee historian, educator, and journalist, suffered serious injuries in a car accident last year. She sustained a broken neck, severe nerve damage to her arm, and an embolism in her leg. Even after rehabilitation and surgery, she is unable to walk more than a few steps.
Her medical debt is overwhelming; her insurance has denied her request for a power chair. Because of her pain, she can't use a manual wheelchair.
Without a power chair, Dr. King can't get to her office on her own - and once she's at her office, she can't go anywhere unless a student or colleague is around to assist her. Without a power chair, she is virtually trapped.
Please help Dr. King restore her mobility as soon as possible!
