Sakellarios loved being with his family and his annual vacations to St Maarten where he could enjoy the ocean where he loved to swim. Sakellarios lit up a room no matter where he went. Everyone who met him loved him and his positive, energetic outlook on life.
Sakellarios was the owner of G&P Luncheonette in Manhattan, New York for 30 years before retiring. He was a hard worker who loved his job working in Manhattan. He was passionate about everything he did.
He was a member of the Astypalean Association.
He was the beloved husband of Zaharoula (nee Karakatsanis), loving father of Katerina Bruno and Ioannis “John” Pilatos and his wife Desiree, cherished grandfather of Krystin, Anthony, and Matthew Bruno, Demitria, Nicholas, Alexander, Ava, Angelina, and Brayden Pilatos, Aidan and Emma Torrao. He was also a dear brother of 8 siblings.
