Pierson Library Eagle Scout Project

Donation protected
This project is for the benefit of the Pierson Library in Shelburne, VT. It is currently led by Drew Buley and will be built by the Scouts of BSA Troop 602. Below you will find a description of the project as well as pictures illustrative of the design concepts.

The Goal of this Eagle Scout project is to create two 5ft bike racks and an A-frame message sign to be installed at the Pierson Library. The bike racks will be built out of locally harvested white pine from Shelburne Farms and will provide enough space for approximately 8-10 bikes. On the leftmost rack, there will also be a trailhead bike workstation mounted to it. The A-frame sign will be made out of white cedar also donated by Shelburne Farms and will have two weather-proof chalkboard faces which the library can use to put out information about upcoming events.

While we have and are continuing to gather donations in kind for the project, this funding is for the elements of the project that must be purchased, notably the trailhead bike repair station. Additionally, all funds raised in excess of project costs will be donated to the children's section of the Pierson Library.
