Picture frames for Lewisham Birth Centre

I am an artist living in South East London since 2013 and working in drawing, painting and bookmaking .
I am raising money to frame 3 of my works selected by the team of nurses in Lewisham Birth Centre.
A bit less than two years ago I become a mother. This changed my life including my artistic practise. I started to explore the subject of motherhood, mother-artist and female energy. The body's transformation, experienced as transition - from girl to woman, daughter to mother - become a central theme in my work.
I gave birth in Lewisham Birth Centre part of Lewisham Hospital.
It was an amazing experience for our family.
“Amazing” is actually not enough to describe how safe, welcomed and pampered we felt as a family there.
I decided to donate them some of my work.
I believe it matters!! Families spending there hours of waiting, excitement, pain, walking around, being nervous... The biggest waves of happiness.
An inspiring piece of art on the wall will have a positive impact on this experience.
This is the smallest thing I can do to add an extra sparkle to these moments. My work, inspired by my pregnancy and motherhood will find a great home in this environment.
The nurses selected three of these moving bellies paintings from a portfolio of my available art-works.
Being on paper, they need framing. I am now looking to get funding for the frames.
The total cost for the three bespoke frames comes to £165 (£55 each).
