Piano for 10 Year Old Pianist.

Hello there and thank you for clicking into our fundraiser (o: We are here for our young son, who is a passionate pianist/composer.

 

We invested in a digital Yamaha 6 years ago, for our children's educations. Our 4 year old son at the time, took immediate interest, and began a journey of self teaching, up until age 6 years and 9 months. We then sought a local teacher to help him through his grades, to which he has currently reached grade 5, but playing at a higher level.

 

Unfortunately within that time, our digital saw its day. We were very kindly gifted with a century old Broadway Mini Grand from musical friends, for whom he has played little fundraising concerts for over the past couple of years for various causes, but sadly, the sound board went, and we were told by a professional, that it was not worth repair. We have since acquired a free piano from Gumtree, for which we were extremely grateful, but again, it being a 100 years old, and not a full 88 key, it is restrictive and not an ideal instrument for various reasons.

 

We would love nothing more than to be able to just buy him (and our other children who play too) a decent piano ourselves, but it is not within our means to do so. We are fundraising in the hope of being able to invest in a Premium 1990's 'silent' Yamaha U3, the sound control aspect of the instrument being most important to us, as the amount of time spent on it, and other children within our household learning other subjects at the same time.

 

We appreciate this is not going to happen overnight, but we are truly humbled and appreciative of any amount given, no matter how small and how long it takes.
