The team at Practice Insight feels so blessed to all be safe and accounted for in this devastating time in Texas history, as Hurricane Harvey has dumped unimaginable amounts of water on our city. We have been so fortunate that our office and our systems have all been fully spared from any flooding or loss of power which allowed our customers to have virtually no impact from this storm.
While most of our team members have been spared from the devastation, this is not the case for all of them. We have team members that have been seriously affected. This storm has flooded areas that are not in a flood plain and do not require home owners to carry flood insurance.
Anita in our Enrollment team was hit the hardest. They had 4 feet of water in their home and lost everything, including their cars. They are not in a flood plain and do not have to carry flood insurance.
Scott from our Development team had a few feet of water in his home. The structure is covered with insurance, but all of the furniture content was not and is a full loss.
Jamie, our Documentation Specialist, had several inches of water throughout her home. The landlord has already started to get flooring ripped out.
Jessica in our Enrollment team, who's home flooded a couple of years ago without any flood insurance, had an inch or so of water in the first floor of her home, in the garage, and in her cars. She too has had to rip out flooring and drywall.
Ken and Martha had 2 feet of water in their house and had 4 cars flooded out. They are blessed to already have help to start the cleaning and rebuilding process.
If it is in your heart to give to help these Practice Insight team members, it would be greatly appreciated. They will have months of work ahead of them to rebuild their lives after this momentous event! Any donations will go directly to the people in need.
Any excess will be donated to help others in the path of Hurricane Harvey. There is SO MUCH NEED!
