Physical Therapy for Linda

Never in a million years did I want to ever ask anyone for anything especially money. As most of you know my mother was in the hospital for quite some time and basically couldn't walk so had to be sent to rehab. Having a knee that needs to be replaced, bone on bone and lymphedema which is Extreme swelling in her legs and feet once you lay in bed for a week you basically just can't do it. She's gone through so much the last 3 years. She is in a rehab that has been good to her but the thing is Medicare only pays for 20 days. They have no secondary insurance or assets. They just got her to stand on her own today. They are going to try the parallel bars tomorrow but December 8th will be the end of Medicare picking up 100%. Although they will pick up 80% that will still leave my mom with $176 per day which is insane. She needs an extra week or two for sure to be able to come home. She's petrified they're going to stick her in a nursing home. I have been on the phone non-stop talking to lawyers, Catholic Charities, senior services and more. We have arranged for therapist to come to the house upon release to continue working with her. We just want her home and able to walk for Christmas. God I hate doing this! Anything would help at this point even if we cannot reach our goal. I'm hoping maybe the facility will take payments or something.
