Phoenix colic surgery and recovery

My name is Kaley and I am starting this go fund me on behalf of my best friend Noelle and her horse Phoenix. On 06/18, Noelle was notified by the barn manager that Phoenix was unwell and colicing. For those who don’t know, colic in horses is life threatening and considered a medical emergency. A vet was immediately called  to examine P and attempt to make him more comfortable. The vet passed a tube and administered banamine. Despite their efforts, they were unable to relieve his pain and an hour later he was in route to Tennessee Equine Hospital for further evaluation. After doing an ultrasound it was determined that Phoenix had a severe impaction and needed immediate surgery to save his life. This was terrifying and shocking as Phoenix has always been a very healthy horse. With the support of her family and friends, Noelle didn’t hesitate to send Phoenix into surgery. Phoenix  is stubborn, strong, and it was clear that he wasn’t done fighting.  The surgery and hospitalization for up to two weeks  is a huge financial burden for anyone to take on. I don’t think anyone can truly be prepared for something like this. That is why I am asking for donations towards Phoenix’s surgery and recovery bills as they could possibly exceed $15,000 depending on how his recovery goes. Noelle and anyone that has ever met P knows how special he is and how much he is loved. Please help if you can, no amount is too small. We appreciate all donations, prayers, and well wishes.
