Help Phil Rebuild

Donation protected

On the 11th of June, the Dandenong Ranges were ravaged by a severe storm; Victoria's SES has never had so many calls for help. The storm felled thousands of trees, and left entire suburbs without power or access to clean drinking water. Kalorama is expected to be without power for another 3 weeks.

A builder by trade, Phillip Matthews' built his family home in Kalorama 40 years ago. Sadly not 1, but 3 trees fall on it in the during the course of the night. A tree also landed on his car.

Above, a photo of Phil building the home in the early 1980's

Looking at photos of the damage you'll appreciate the enormity of the task ahead. Any donation you make; no matter how big or small, will go directly to Phil to help him get back on his feet again.

We'd love for you to share this with as many people as you feel comfortable to do so, and on Phil's behalf - thank you sincerely for considering his cause.

PS. In case anyone is wondering about my relationship to Phil; I am a close friend of his son Michael. The immediate family members are busy on the ground, and so I have set up this page on their behalf
