Hi there, my name is Daniel Phillips. My family and I have been through a rough patch in the past two and a half years. About three years ago, my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer during the pandemic, and we had to move to the Los Angeles Metro area. I work in the film industry, but unfortunately, the industry was on strike right after we moved to LA, leaving us with very little money. So, we had to move several times so our daughter could attend a performing arts school.

We met an incredible family who let us rent a back house in their Altadena home for an extremely affordable amount at times even nothing. They not only gave us a place to live but also welcomed us into their hearts, family and community.

But sadly, the Eaton fire destroyed our entire neighborhood. Now, along with all our newfound friends, we have nothing left. My family and I are creating this GoFundMe to help me, Daniel Phillips, continue to support my family and help are neighbors. We lost a lot of our belongings and memories, but the most important thing we need is a place to live. The cheapest place we can find right now is a room for around $150 to $200 a night. If we reach our goal, we can make sure our daughter finishes her school year with her class. Any help you can give would be amazing.
