Phillip, The Horse We Love And Won't Let Go

They say, love is blind, but also. so strong that nothing else matters.
I live in New York but I'm from Novi Sad, Serbia. I always stay in touch with my dear ones. And, my dearest friend, Jelena, is over there too. Sometimes, I wish I could just steal her somehow and bring her here. She is love, even when being kind and loving is seen as weakness in Serbia, she is love!!!
The country is in chaos and laws do exist but are rarely enforced. The animals are particularly affected by this. There are lots of abandoned dogs and other animals left to fetch for themselves. Most of them starve to death, alone.
Jelena has three of her own dogs that she saved from the horrors of living on the streets. She has also taken to safety many other dogs and have even managed to find homes for them. This path that she is on is very difficult. There are so many sacrifices made, including losing loved ones who couldn't understand her.
I am setting up this fundraiser for her!!
She loves horses too, and this is hers and Phillip's story .
Jelena saved him from the certain slaughter. He was about to end up in a meat factory due to, well, no one really caring, or knowing what to do with it. When she found out about it, the force and passion she showed when she took this upon her, as a mission to save him, touched me deeply.
I remembered the careless time when we were growing up together, riding horses and loving life. I remembered how heartbroken we were when we lost our boys. And I knew, right then, that I have to at least try and hopefully, bring back the light in her eyes and help her. I wish I can do it myself but that is not the case, unfortunately.
This is why I am turning to all of you people, who have loved and lost loved ones, hoping you can help me help my friend.
Phillip is in the countryside private farm and his stay there costs 200 EUR per month. It was solely funded by donations that have slowly dried out...
We owe already for this full year of 2019 - 2400 EUR total by the end of the year. The goal is to pay off the existing debt and make sure that he can stay safe for another year.
The total comes up to 4800 EUR.
If funds could be raised by the end of the year, his odds of staying alive will increase enormously.
I don't know if it is too much to ask for, as these numbers are staggering and we need a miracle, but I know that if we all chip in a little, in no time, we may be able to do just that.
It will not change our lives, but for the two of them, it will be simply everything. And, I mean, their lives will go on and love will conquer!!
And, there won't be any hearts broken, or tears and deep sadness.
Let's bring back some balance to this world! Let love rule the world!!
