In early July my father was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma cancer on his face. It grew so bad that he had a nickel sized hole through the side of his cheek days before surgery. On July 30th he had the surgery which consisted of removing skin and bone from his thigh and replacing it on his face. My father has always been a hard working man. For 20 years he has had the same job doing pool decks with the same company. Unfortunately when cancer showed up, he didn't have much time to prepare for being out of work for the months to come. The labor involved with his job is just too physically demanding with his condition. He starts chemo in about 5 weeks and the doctors do not see any chance of him going back to work in the next couple of months. The costs of hospital bills, doctors appts, weekly prescription refills, rent, utilities, and drinks to feed him through his feeding tube are adding up. Any little bit that you could donate will help.
