Two months ago, Phil’s life changed in an instant. He was hospitalized and underwent extensive testing. The doctors determined he suffered several mini strokes and then a major stroke……at 51 years old……totally unexpected. Phil didn’t have time for a stroke, but he didn’t have a choice in it.
The stroke affected Phil’s movement on his right side. He regained the movement back but his struggle is far from over. In addition, tests revealed he has an aneurysm in his heart and a leaking mitral valve. He still suffers from extreme exhaustion and short term memory loss. He is undergoing additional medical testing.
Phil was very active prior to his stroke. He enjoyed playing guitar, horses and cattle. He was a big fan of horse and cattle shows. Phil has two jobs. He is employed with the Illinois State Farm Service Agency during the week and hauls Livestock trailers for a Livestock trailer business on the weekends. Due to the stroke he has been unable to work at either of his jobs. He is expected to be away from work for a considerable amount of time resulting in a significant loss of income for him. Making his basic ends meet is now impossible, which has put security at risk for his home and vehicle.
