Phighting for Sophia

On October 31, 2017 2 year old Sophia Boylan has been diagnosed with Yolk Sac Germ Cell Tumor Cancer.  We are waiting on pathology to come back to tell us what stage of cancer this is at.  Sophia will be having a kidney scan on Monday Novemeber 6 and a bone scan on Wednesday Novemeber 8 to see if the cancer has spread to these locations.  Sophia will be also starting chemotherapy on Wednesday Novemeber 8 for 5 days on and 3 weeks off for the next 4 months.  This is a rare cancer that can happen in children ages 1-2.  Her team of doctors are aggresively treating Sophia with the best treatment as possible.  Due to extent of her treatment and illness her parents Kevin and Caroline Boylan will be unable to work because she will need 24/7 care.
