Corey Wright was the beloved husband of Jaylene Sarracino, and the doting father of Majalene and Julian. Corey and Jaylene met by chance on the streets of Washington, DC in 1995 ,when Jaylene was working as an intern for the Department of State and Corey was working at the U.S. Department of Commerce -- Corey from a small town in Wisconsin and Jay from Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Jaylene will tell you Corey was a gentleman from the moment she met him and their compatibility was immediately apparent. They had many special years together, filled with lots of laughs, adventures and joys raising Maja and Julian, now both growing teens who share their dad's sense of humor and both parents' love of being physically active. An avid trail biker, Corey was a committed dad and provider for the family. When Jay wanted to leave her job as an attorney to pursue a career in yoga and fitness, Corey was her biggest cheerleader and supporter. Thanks to him, she is now a yoga instructor and fitness professional.
The sudden passing of Corey is a devastating loss--emotionally, and it will be financially. The family's friends and colleagues have rallied to offer love and support through this difficult time. What we also hope is to help with the long-term effects of this new void in their family. The funds raised here will help Jaylene provide for her children as they finish high school and move on to college. Any amount helps. Thank you.
