Kyle Bengelsdorf Motorcycle Accident

Donation protected
Hello everyone,

I’m Alexa - a lifelong friend of the Bengelsdorf family and best friend to Kelsi, Kyle’s older sister.

I’m creating this page in order to organize updates and information about Kyle as well as to help the Bengelsdorf family with the massive medical bills and future expenses associated with Kyle’s accident. Kyle is in for a very long road to recovery and will not be able to return to work for the foreseeable future. We still don’t know how long he will remain in the hospital as his conditions are changing everyday.

Kyle was in a motorcycle accident on Sunday night, November 6th. He was taken to Mission Hospital and has been in the ICU ever since.

Kyle was thrown more than 60 ft from his bike and the paramedics took more than an hour to get to him/begin treating him. As a result Kyle had to receive multiple blood transfusions upon arrival due to the heavy amount of blood loss.

While he is now considered to be in stable condition, his injuries are extensive and the road to recovery will be long.

Kyle had multiple compound fractures in his leg and broke most of the bones in his right arm, as well as his right ankle. He also has numerous facial injuries from his helmet ripping off - resulting in crush injuries - including a broken jaw, broken nose, and broken bones around his right eye- which will require reconstructive surgery. He has been placed into a medically induced coma because of a small brain bleed which has now been stabilized and they will continue to monitor.

Kyle is showing incredible strength and has already endured 4 grueling surgeries due to the compound fractures and is looking to at least having 2-3 more.

Kyle is looking at months of physical therapy and continued treatment. We still don’t know the full extent of damage to his arm, but he is not expected to regain full range of motion. What that will do to his career, we are unsure.

All we do know for certain is that Kyle is fighting. He fought to be found by paramedics and he continues to fight everyday.

That being said, I would like to ask that everyone continue to fight for him. Please keep Tracey, Brian, Kelsi, & Keegan in your prayers as well at this time.

Here is a website that has recent updates about Kyle’s latest condition.
