Everest Base Camp Trek Fundraiser

Dear Friends,

I'm about to go on my quest to brave the beauty of nature with the trek to Everest Base Camp - I'm calling it "A walk amongst gaints."

Starting the trek from Lukla at an altitude of 2846m (9337 ft), climbing to 5644.5m (18,519 ft) in 9 days to Everest Base Camp and then descending back in 4 days, covering a distance of 130kms, gaining around 7,300 meters / 24,000 feet of elevation throughout the entire trail. Having to endure a low Oxygen state and battling -20° wind chills, suffering altitude sickness and braving the world's most dangerous airport but also providing the opportunity to be in and meet such a lovely country and Nepalese people.

I'll be doing this trek to EBC starting May 1st and completing on May 15th to raise funds for the school of my boys - for Ashwin - Colchester Boys Grammar School and for Sanjay - Queen Boudica Primary school.
