Petra Needs Our Help

Petra got sick last Thursday and sadly, just hasn't gotten better yet.

She has been in and out of the vet and emergency vet since then, and she is in good hands at MedVet in Dallas, Texas now where she began her second blood transfusion at 2 am last night 3/13/18. We don't know much yet except her red blood cells are being attacked they think from an auto immune disease and she didn't respond to the first blood transfusion (more information below). 

Petra is a very special girl who was saved Dallas Animal Services  in an animal cruelty case and adopted at PetSmart event back in early 2016 by my friend Diego. At that moment, she became his whole world and he was quickly wrapped around her pretty little paw.  Diego worked with her every day to overcome her fear and teach her how to trust and what life could be like with unconditional love. She has a better social calendar than I do - visits Santa every year, attends SPCA Strut Your Mutt, frequents white rock lake for daily walks, enjoys her time with friends at Mutts Canine Cantina and much more!

She is only 4 years old and has a lot of love and life ahead of her. As with any medical emergency, her bills are adding up quickly. If you would like to donate to her care, every little bit helps and/or please share her story and send her well wishes.
