Funeral Expenses for Pete Contreras
Donation protected
On the morning of Sunday, April 26, 2020 a joyful and loving man left this earth to join his mother, father and older brother in heaven.
Pete Contreras was a son, brother, a friend and an uncle to many – blood and “adopted.” He was immediately loved by those who met him; it was impossible for him to meet a stranger.
Pete was a positive, kind, happy and most importantly a giving soul. He made a positive impact on the lives of every person that was lucky enough to cross paths with him. If you were at the right place, at the right time, you might even have got lucky enough to catch him giving away FREE hugs and smiles and even the “prized” Starbucks gift cards. You could often find him in line at Starbucks buying coffee for random people.
Unfortunately, much to his dismay he never did win the Powerball. With that said - his passing was a very sudden and unexpected event. Recently, he had an overwhelming number of health concerns – All of which he had been managing. After several hospitalizations and a couple surgeries later, things were finally seeming as if they would settle down – then this happened. With a mountain of medical expenses it has been difficult, if not impossible to save for end of life expenses… And to be honest we didn’t realize we would need to cross this bridge so soon.
We will be accepting donations to help our family with funeral/medical expenses.
If we raise more than enough to cover the expenses, we will donate the remaining funds to the Childhood Cancer Foundation in memory of my Uncle Pete.
