At Pet Pals Therapy we have been specialising in providing Animal Therapy to the residents of long-term care facilities in Sussex for the last ten years.
The ethos of our Company is to make the joy and healing benefits of animals accessible to all those in need by keeping our pricing in line with other activity providers such as singers and musicians.
Our service provides a specially designed monthly visiting programme bringing different animals to residents each month. Each different animal we use creates a different therapeutic outcome and they range from miniature Horses to Guinea Pigs. Altogether we are home to over a hundred animals.
To meet our monthly overheads for the feeding, housing and healthcare of all our animals we rely heavily on being able to conduct all 120 of our regular visits each month.
Our clients are the most vulnerable in society and the outbreak of the Corona virus has caused long-term care facilities to stop all visitors, resulting in our regular scheduled visits being cancelled.
With the Government now predicting this will continue for the next 3 – 4 months we need your help to support the animals whilst we are unable to earn the income to support them ourselves. To cover our essential basic outgoings, we need £2,100 a month. Any donation that you may be able to make, big or small will be greatly appreciated.
If we are all fortunate enough that this pandemic is over quickly, any funds raised that are over and above what is needed for the animals, will be used towards the setup of a new dedicated room service we hope to provide bringing Animal Therapy to those who are bed-bound and suffering from extreme loneliness.
