The Clayton Community Outreach Committee’s mission is to foster a community between the families at Clayton Elementary and Perez Elementary Schools, and build a community of giving and service within the Clayton Community. Perez and Clayton have always had a special connection.
Sadly, our sister school has been hit hard by the pandemic. Many of the families have lost loved ones and/or livelihoods during this time. Roughly 85% of the families at Perez qualify for free or reduced lunch. This already vulnerable community is now struggling significantly and students risk falling further behind as AISD plans for more virtual learning.
There is still a lot we don't know regarding what school will look like for the 2020-21 school year and what their needs might be, but we know for sure they will need help with wifi, school supplies, food, and general financial support for specific families.
Donations will be used to set up wifi in homes, purchase HEB or CSA gift cards, buy specialized school supplies for students with special needs, and support teachers in need of supplies or PPE.
What your donation can do:
$25 pays for dinner for a family
$50 pays the set up fees for wifi
$75 pays for 2 months of internet connectivity
$100 pays for 3 month of internet connectivity
$250 pays for school supplies for a classroom
$500 sponsors a family in crisis with food, wifi and more
Our Clayton community has always been so generous in helping our sister school. Right now, during one of their greatest times of need, we know we as a community can come together to to lessen the burden on these families. Thank you for your support!

We have partnered with MasksNow.org and they will be donating 500 child-sized masks to Perez elementary students.
