My name is Pepper and I want to buy a Custom Picture Framing business. I've been Framing since 1998 when I got a job at California Frame Ups in the Sunvalley Mall. I instantly fell in love with the work as it was the perfect combination of art and working with my hands. In the upscale frame shop I spent 10 years, my entrepreneur owner told me that of all his employees (since 1972) I was the one he thought best suited to run my own business.
I have been looking for an opportunity to do just that ever since.
I finally found one!! There is a pre-existing business that specialises in creating frames out of reclaimed barn wood. It's a small family run business and all the equipment is included. We're negotiating a turn-key agreement. Now all I need is the capital.
That's where you come in. Through the generosity of family, friends, and friends of friends, along with my own nest egg. I may be able to scrape together to buy this business without taking on a huge, life-long loan. I am not a big fan of accruing the kind of interest that banks like to charge. I'd rather be treated like a person, not a number.
