Peoria Food Desert Urban Ag Initiative

Want to join in making a difference? We are raising money to benefit R Lamar Academy’s Budded Mattah urban agriculture, a grass-roots initiative of local non-profits and churches partnering to empower residents to grow their own food and plants. We are raising funds to complete garden plots, hoop house, storage shed and fencing at the new Nance Legins-Costley Garden at Harrison Homes Peoria, IL.   Any donation will help make an impact. More information about Budded Mattah Urban Agriculture: We plant seeds and nurture them to grow in: Gardens, Families, Individuals, other NFP, community leaders, and anyone who can be called a neighbor. We work through our urban agriculture initiative to eliminate food deserts through the empowerment of residents.
