Peony's emergency medical fund!

Thursday the 22nd of June, Robert Stam, who lives in Sanya, came home to find his long-time girlfriend and soon to be wife, seriously ill after having a nice family holiday in The Netherlands.
When he came home he noticed that his girlfriend, Peony, who is a local from Hainan, was behaving strange and didn't recognize him. It seems that her memory was failing her. After this very worrisome event he went to the hospital with her, and after seeing several doctors it was determined she had a very serious infection.
As the evening went by, the situation became more and more serious. She was showing increased memory loss and at a certain point, she could not remember her own name and a picture of her mother anymore.
Then the most shocking thing happened. During the observation night in the hospital, she got a seizure, Robert Stam later said it was the most horrible thing he ever experienced in his life. He thought the woman he loves was dying in front of his eyes.
Luckily though she didn't pass away, but then she got another seizure which further increased the urgency of the situation. Shortly after, a bed came free in the intensive care unit. She got administered right away.
The diagnosis, which is 90% sure, is that she has viral encephalitis which is a very rare disease. This disease is causing parts of her brain to be infected which causes a whole host of problems. One of the earliest problems was increased brain pressure. It was almost four times more than healthy people which can cause serious brain damage. In addition, the layers around her brain, and her brainstem also got infected.
At this moment Robert Stam, but also Peony her family, together don’t have money to afford the entire treatment. This is based on what we know now after more than ten days in the intensive care unit. It will still be a long road ahead.
The intensive care unit costs are around 20.000 Chinese Yuan per day, which is about 2600 EURO. Luckily, trough collecting donations in China and trough this GoFundMe Page, we could afford her care until now.
At this stage, we must assume and budget that Peony needs intensive care unit care for two months. Unfortunately, Our funds now aren’t sufficient to pay for all this. The only way to continue her care is with your help.
