Peace For Her Last Days

Donation protected
I'm unsure how to go about this but we are in desperate need of help. This is Sharon, she's a very strong, self-sufficient and independent woman. Never one to cry, or ask for help.  Growing up she was our neighbor but to my family she was so much more. She provided strength and guidance through the rough years of a young relationship on the rocks. Without any hesitation to tell you how it is, and where you were wrong. Her unrelenting honesty is something that has shaped my family in the best of ways. My sister and I spent a lot of time with this woman and soon she became more of a grandmother figure than a neighbor. She taught us fundamental lessons in life that are priceless and have shaped us to be the women we are today.
In the last five years Sharon has been battling cancer that started in her kidneys. At first the doctors gave her months to live, but with medication and trial runs of experimental drugs she's made it years! Until Kreg (Sharons husband) noticed that she was having more and more issues getting around, eventually not being able to stand from a sitting position. Kreg took her into the ER where they did a full body scan and realized that the cancer had spread into her bones and she now has tumors in her brain. They tried the route of radiation but it caused the tumors to bleed. Her bones are now spongey and prone to fractures.
She now has maybe a month or two to live and with finances being tight for Kreg, he has to work. This left him with little option and now she in a nursing home. This last weekend we went to visit her, and she is still the whitty woman we love and know! She is bed ridden, her mobility is limited to being able to scratch her nose. Her being the strong independent woman she is you can imagine the toll this takes on her emotionally having to ask a stranger to feed her and change her. Kreg comes in every morning and every night to feed her but her biggest fear is to die alone. At this point it is waiting for the inevitable but we NEED to get her home, in her space, with her two fur babies.
Currently Kreg is paying $700 dollars a day to have her in the nursing home she is in and she is miserable. (In my personal opinion this nursing home is less than favorable. Her bed is butted against a wall with little room to walk around it to assist her and they wont give her more space because she's not a long term patient.) We are in the process of getting things sorted out to get her home but the main issue is the financial part of things. Please, help us get her home to find peace in her last days. Even if donating is not possible just sharing is help enough. Thank you!
