What was supposed to be a great father and son moment in Germany for my dad and I has turned into a nightmare.
Daryl was suddenly struck down with meningococcal meningitis and is currently in the Intensive care unit in critical condition.
Meningitis is inflammation of the lining of the brain and spinal cord. Meningococcal meningitis can result in permanent disabilities – such as deafness or brain injury – and can in some cases cause death.
It’s going to be a long road for Daryl and will be needing help to take care of him while he is overseas.
There will be a range of huge expenses for me to stay in Germany to help and look after dad and will need help to fund flights for a family member to come over and stay to help dad in his recovery and flights to get him back home to Australia!
He has always supported me , now it’s time for me to support him.
Any help would be so greatly appreciated in this really tough time.
