Journey to fighting cancer

On July 17th my mom (Angie Selix) was admitted into the hospital after doctors discovered she had a large mass in the muscle wall of her uterus. They preformed emergency surgery to remove the mass. After surgery they ran tests to see if the mass was cancer. The tests came back inconclusive and a special panel of doctors met to study the mass. My mom had a PT scan to make sure the mass was gone.

About a month later my mom met with her doctor where she was informed she had a very rare form of cancer called Uterine Sarcoma. This cancer is formed in the muscle wall that supports the uterus. Approximately 6 in 1 million women are diagnosed with this per year and there is no known cure.

When the results from the PT scan came back they discovered my mom had a very small mass in her lung and they took a biopsy to see if it was the cancer. The results came back positive that it was the cancer that spread to her lung. This put my mom in stage four uterine sarcoma. 

My mom started Chemo on Tuesday September 15th.  She will have two weeks of chemo with one week off for her cycles. She will have various appointments during this time to make sure the cancer doesn't spread more. She plans to work during this time as much as she can.  

I would like to use this go fund me to help with the cost of loss work time, trips to and from the hospital ( an hour and a half drive one way) and help with medical expenses as my mom has to meet a $7,000 deductible each year.  We would appreciate any donations but your continued prayers and support is what will help get us through.
