Paying tribute to Nick Verni-Lau

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nick Verni-Lau. Nick died on November 4th from diabetic complications; he was 37 years old. Nick was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. Raised always to seek justice and live kindly, Nick spent his professional career supporting those experiencing homelessness throughout Colorado. Those who knew Nick could count on his quick wit and endless puns to bring humor to every situation. Nick loved cooking, video games, a great beer or whiskey, and cheering on Chicago sports teams, but most of all Nick loved his sweet pup, Rigby. We will miss him so much.

Nick's death was very unexpected, and we are seeking donations to support Nick's parents, Barb and Gary, with funeral expenses. Any donations that exceed the total expense will be donated to homeless outreach in Nick's honor.
