Paying Tribute to Fernando Lara Jr.

This week took an awful turn when our family lost our beloved, Fernando Lara Jr.
On the 11th day of February, Fernando's life was taken suddenly and unexpectedly.
Fernando Jr.'s absence has had a massive impact on many. Fernando was father to Lillian (19), Kalista (8) and Mateo Lara (2). He was the oldest son of Fernando Sr. and Virginia Lara and the oldest brother of Irvin, Humberto and Jessica Lara. And he leaves behind the mother of his youngest kids, Karol Uribe. We could name off all the cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews that will deeply miss Fernando, but we would be here all day.
For those of us who knew Fernando, we were all impacted by his humor and selfless generosity. Fernando served both his family and his country wholeheartedly. His presence not only leaves a gaping hole in our family, but a lot of grieving ahead for his parents, siblings and children.
Our family needs help and there are two ways we would appreciate a hand:
1. There are many expenses ahead and we would love it if you rallied around us by helping us carry this financial burden. ALL the proceeds that are raised will help cover the costs that come with planning a memorial/funeral and to help bless the Lara family in this season of grieving. His daughter Lillian, who is next of kin, would like for him to be buried, so all proceeds will go to honor that wish.
2. You can help by praying and keeping Fernando Sr., Virginia, Irvin, Humberto, Jessica, Lillian, Kalista, Mateo Lara and Karol Uribe in your thoughts. The days ahead will not be easy, so please keep them in your prayers.
We cannot express how hard the last couple of hours have been and how heavy the days ahead feel, but we are grateful for the time we had with Fernando and will spend our lives remembering and celebrating him.
