Paulstown/Goresbridge Community Sports Park
Donation protected
There has been a population explosion in Paulstown and Goresbridge over the past few years. Our young athletes need facilities and we need your help!
Creating a healthy hub for all ages in the parish to enhance and promote social inclusion, participation, co-operation and enjoyment for all ages both young and old.
Something for everyone.
- New pitches for all age groups.
- New dressing room facilities, gym and recreational facilities – which
can be used for classes, meetings, social benefits, for all members of
the parish.
- Ball Walls – scientific evidence demonstrates that these structures
significantly improve and enhance hurling / camogie skills in relation
to control, accuracy, strength, confidence, and above all physical
fitness.
- Walking / Running track – will accommodate and provide a valuable
facility for parents during training sessions, a jogging facility for any
members in the parish and other clubs or for a leisurely stroll
whenever.
- Gym- available for club members and non-members all year round.
All these facilities will combat obesity issues which is a growing concern across Ireland today.
This Community Sports Park (CSP) will be the focal point and health hub of the parish for all ages and for all occasions and will solve capacity, parking and safety issues.
The CSP will provide an opportunity in particular for children to grow in confidence in their chosen sport and assist them in reaching their true and full potential.
This generation has a responsibility to ensure that these proposed new facilities become a reality in order to secure our children’s interest in sport, physical fitness and well-being.
