RIP Paul LaPointe Hamilton NJ

Paul, affectionately known as "Munch" grew up in Trenton, NJ on Genesee St. He was 56. He lost his mother at a very young age becoming homeless at that time.
For many years, Paul has lived in the streets of the Hamilton area never asking for help nor handout. Residents both young and old have offered shelter, food & money which he more often refused.
Tragically, he was struck and killed in a motor vehicle accident last night on Kuser Road in Hamilton, NJ.
I often saw him walking along Rte 130 in Robbinsville and wondered what was his story. I learned more about him through the Hamilton Township Yardsale group where concerned residents often shared their experiences regarding Paul.
I will be reaching out to the Mary Gaye Abbott of the Rescue Mission in Trenton to seek assistance in utilizing any funds collected for Pauls burial expenses. Any additional funds will be donated in Pauls name to the Rescue Mission of Trenton who tirelessly advocate for the Homeless and less fortunate in our area.
Recently, I took a collection here for my coworker and dear friend Larry Claitt. We have an excess $700 from that collection which I will contribute in Larry's name to Paul's fund. I have this in reserve to purchase a headstone for Larry's resting place at the Greenwood Cemetary, however, I know that Larry would approve of redirecting these funds! He was a kind and giving soul. I can hear him loud and clear, in his famous words, "That made my day"!!!!
In this week of Thanksgiving please consider donating from the heart to help a member of our community to his final resting place <3
