Hello my dear Friend,
 
I know it’s been a while since I’ve reached out to connect with you.  It’s been quite a year and a half,  filled with incredible highs and lows for us all,  navigating  the world, in its current state, along with both personal life and health issues.  
 
As I believe you are aware, my significant health challenge began in January 2019 with a stage IV ovarian cancer diagnosis.  After the surgical removal of 8 of my internal organs, I was sent home with the prognosis of 3-6 months to live, partially based on my decision to opt out of the conventional medicine treatment of chemotherapy.  With the help of my Naturopath, medicinal plants, herbs, quantum energetics and keeping up with a rigorous health protocol, I have lived an amazing quality of life for the last 18 months. Many doctors have said that what I have accomplished thus far, along with support from my Naturopath, is nothing short of miraculous! Then… the pandemic hit and, as you have likely experienced too, life’s curveballs continued to come.    
 
I have always wanted to live in California, near the ocean, which provides  tremendous health benefits for my Raynauds & Immune system.  Leighton and I moved into a rental house in Ventura County,  California hoping it would be a viable option for us both.  We moved in on March 4, 2020 and, due to COVID restrictions, were locked down 2 days later for the next year.  In order for me to receive the medical care I needed here in CA, a full move away from my home state of CT was my best option.  All of Leighton’s previous work contracts were put on hold, so the financial strain on us has been tremendous.  After stabilizing my health with an extensive and all consuming regimen of natural protocols and practices, the pandemic hit deeper, which necessitated further adjustments, due significantly, decreased income. I then had to balance my treatment regimen based upon what I could afford, versus the robust regimen I had managed for the last 1.5 years.  While working full time to maintain vigilance with my own wellness, even on a diminished protocol, I have also continued to help, council, support and advise others to navigate their challenging health journeys. In addition, I have been working to complete my book, detailing my journey and holistic approach to treating and living with a cancer diagnosis. I want and believe that my story can and will help others to make informed choices on how to navigate cancer in their bodies. Thus the name of my book, “Cancer is Personal!”
 
Unfortunately I believe the stress of balancing these multiple pressures and stressors has been too much for my body. My latest bloodwork and CT scan has starkly revealed this to be true.  
 
To try to maintain the robust, holistic treatment protocols that my body responds so well to, I have found a clinic in Mexico that I believe meets all the criteria I need to accomplish a big bounce back.  These essential, cutting edge, therapies include functional & biological medicine, immunotherapy, hyperbaric oxygen and bio-energetics, just to name a few.  It will be a three-week, intensive program that I can only manage to do with the love and caring support of family and friends, and some truly needed financial help.
