Education fund for Paul Choi's kids

It is with an incredibly heavy heart that we inform you that Dr. Paul D. Choi passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018.  He was a beloved colleague and friend to us and many others and we will miss him greatly.  He was a graduate of Stanford University, followed by medical school at Washington University of St. Louis, followed by residency at University of California San Francisco, then fellowship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.  He was on staff at CHLA for a decade and was their Director of Hip Preservation.  He started employment at Shriners For Children Medical Center in April 2017 and quickly became one of the most beloved members of our staff.  He was also an Air Force veteran, and he took great pride in his service to our country.  He loved taking care of children and teaching residents and fellows, and we will miss his quiet but powerful demeanor.  Paul was an incredible friend, mentor, and colleague to us and many others and his passing is an incredible loss.  

Paul is survived by his wife Emily, son Daniel, his yet-to-be-born daughter, a brother, and his mother. 

Karen Myung and Bob Cho would like to start an educational fund for his children Daniel, and soon-to-be-born sister.  Any money donated would be directly placed into a 529 fund for his children to help defray the costs of school and college in the future.  Both Karen and Bob will coordinate the transfer of donated money into these newly created funds.

Paul was a great friend to us all.  He was so loved by many and he loved all of you as much as you loved him.  Please consider opening your hearts and wallets to help his family in their time of need.
