Paula & Don's Road to Recovery

As many of you know, but if you don’t. Paula and Don Stewart were involved in a horrific rollover vehicle accident on Monday February 20th 2018. They were driving back from their beach house in Mexico, 4 hours south of the boarder in a small town called Colonet, Baja. They were taken to an ER in mexico and released with minimal treatment. Thankfully, their wonderful friends, who were also visiting Mexico, spent significant time at getting them back to the U.S. to seek additional medical treatment. Once back in the U.S. they both went to Scripps Mercy Hospital and Paula was diagnosed with three compression fractures in her spine. Don was diagnosed with a fractured scapula, five fractured ribs, a bruised kidney and a pulmonary contusion. They have spent the last two days at the hospital on the trauma observation unit. During the accident, their kind, gentle-hearted dog Maya was lost in the accident and has yet to be found.

As small business owners, Paula and Don both are injured and unable to work. We created this fundraiser to help their road to recovery financially, as they continue on their medical recovery journey.
