We are Tom & Jane Vaughan from Belleville, WI. We are Paul & Jenn's mom & dad. Grandparents to Nolan and Carter.
Hurricane Michael made landfall in Florida's Panhandle as a Category 4, nearly Category 5 storm, leaving thousands without power and some loss of life.
The storm, with winds up to 155 mph, left behind a large path of destruction, bringing in flash floods, downing trees and power lines, and wreaking homes and businesses.
Paul, Jenn, Nolan & Carter's home has been damaged by the hurricane, as well as, Tyndall AFB (where Paul was currently assigned to) which has suffered devastating damage.
Nolan & Cater's schools also have extensive damage to them. There are no timelines to when schools will be fixed and school resumed. Could be months.
The reason we are starting a GoFundMe page to raise money for this family, that we love so much, is due to financial needs due to Hurrican Michael. The funds will be used for; repairs & professional clean up to house, clothing, hotel stays, apartment rental, still making house payments, purchase of school supplies, and many other items that will be exposed now, and down the road.
They currently are living in a hotel room, and unable to go back to their home to assess all damages for possibly up to 2 weeks or more.
Due to the damage at Tyndall AFB, Paul will be moved to another AFB. With this change, Paul & Jenn want to give Nolan & Carter stability. They feel the best stability for them will be to move Jenn & the boys back to Sioux Falls. Separation is always hard, but necessary at this time.
Paul & Jenn are able to withdrawl their funds from GoFundMe which will then go directly into their bank account.
Any funds not used will be given to disaster relief efforts for the people of Panama City, FL.
