Patty Hayes' Road to Recovery

Hello Family, Friends, Co-workers of Patty Hayes,

As some of you may or may not know our girl, Patty Hayes, has been battling some health issues for over the last year.  Below will explain the situation but we wanted to have a place that all of her family and friends could go to help out.  Many of you have been giving your support already and we thank you.  We thought this would be a place for all who could go and give their support.  Big or small everything counts and gives Patty and her family some relief with this long road ahead.  

From Patty....
"This is Hayes here.  Some of you know what I'm going through, some of you don't.  Here it is....early last year I started not feeling well, just thought it was a cold that I couldn't shake.  Last May I got pretty sick and my doctor started doing various tests.  In May - June I found out that I had a blood cancer called MDS (Myelodysplastic Syndrome).  I started the 1st (of 6) rounds of chemo on July 15th and ended Dec 15th.  I had chemo 5 days a week each round, but I continued to work and try and have a positive outlook.  I know sometimes I didn't sound or look so happy, but I just didn't feel well.  I am in the hospital now, as a result of a complication from the chemo.  I had surgery last Friday Feb. 2nd and should be out in the next week or so.  
Thank you to everybody that has helped me out.  I truly appreciate all your support, your kindness, your thoughtfulness and your prayers.  It has all helped me, and continues to do so, more than you will know.  And for that I just want to say THANKS!"

That was just a small glimpse of what Patty has been through.  As you can see, she has been through a lot thus far and will continue to battle this disease until they find something that will help.  It's serious!  Because of the many chemo sessions, blood transfusions, doctors visits and hospital stays, Patty has had to miss a lot of work days and has surpassed the amount given with pay.  This will continue until her health is stabilized.  

If you are reading this then Patty has been a part of your life in some way and as a result you know Patty has one of the biggest hearts and personalities that there is.  So we are asking you to reach out and help support Patty's recovery and make her realize that she is loved by many who want to see her through this.  

All funds will go directly to Patty personally.  With these funds we hope this will help with doctor and medical bills, as well as missed work days.  Some of you may know she is also a big part of running her family and taking care of elderly parents as well as her niece.  She is a big provider to all of them.  With her condition, it is hard for her to continue with these responsibilities.  We hope that some of the funds will also help relieve her of being unable to carry out what she normal does for her family so she can focus on her own healthcare and recovery.  

Please keep Patty in your heart and prayers and help support this amazing person.  Give what you can and help spread the word as well.
