Patti Rohwer Child Care Fund

Patti Rohwer, a parent at the Park School, lost her husband Steve to a massive stroke this weekend. We, the parents at Park School, are shaken and saddened by the terrible news.

Patti is the mother of two wonderful girls, Peyton and Stephie. Stephie has special needs and attends the Park School in Evanston, IL, a fantastic public school for children with disabilities that serves the Evanston/ Skokie school districts. 

As parents at the Park School, we want to help Patti out by raising funds for child care for her daughter Stephie. Many of the aides and staff at Park School are eager to help, and since they know Stephie, they can provide supportive care during this trying time. We want to help make this financially feasible for them, and to see that Patti can get as much support as possible in the months to come. 

I am writing as President of the Park PTA, but I know I speak for so many of us in expressing our deep heartbreak at this tragedy, and our determination to help Patti, Peyton, and Stephie during these sad times ahead. Caring for a special needs child can be especially exhausting, and Patti deserves all the support we can provide.
