Patti Poe's Surgery Fundraiser
Patti (mom) was hospitalized a couple weeks ago. She ended up having to have a surgery that was very invasive and required her to remain in the hospital for a long recovery process. She was able to come home after 17 days but is still unable to do most of the normal requirements that used to make up her daily routine. She is healing well and working to gain her strength back. Her stretch goal is to be strong enough to return to work (on very light duty) in a couple weeks.
If you all know my mom, she is VERY independent. It is driving her nuts that she can't just get up and go go go, work work work. She has been able to remain in good spirits most of the time and is following all the doctors recommendations. Patti (mom) is very appreciative to have such kind and loving friends and family. She is truly blessed.
Most of the assistance programs here are primarily assisting those affected by COVID so we are either waiting on call backs or do not qualify. Hopefully we will have better luck soon.
I know this request comes in close to the Holidays and at a time when everyone is experiencing hardships. With the funds we are looking to help mom (Patti) with groceries, medicine, utility bills, rent, & medical bills that have to be paid from her surgery, so that she can continue the follow up progression appointments and be able to connect with a Primary Care Physician.
