Pat's stroke adventure

Hi, It's Jen McDonald, Pats new wife of about 2 months. The day after returning from a fantastic four-day trip to the keys, Pat collapsed at work. He was unresponsive for 2 1/2 days and is recovering VERY SLOWLY from a stroke. His speech, taste, vision, cognition and balance are greatly affected. We all know he is strong and very resilient- this is NOT his first rodeo. That said, he has quite a bit of therapy ahead of him and a journey to get back to being independent. We are looking into the best therapy center for him. The kids, myself, and our village of friends and family will surround him to care for and support him through a full recovery. Our medical costs will be great, and we will both miss a great deal of work. While we have insurance, it has significant copays for his type of care. We are asking for financial assistance if you can help us stay on our feet and care for our family during this rehabilitation time. We are so grateful and love you all for reaching out to us and supporting us in this challenging season.
