Patrick's Surgery Fund
On Sunday November 5th, Patrick Riley(20 years old) was rushed to Indian River Medical Center when he woke up with numbness on one side of his body that later intensified to not being able to walk. What they found wasn't what anyone ever expected. He had an AVM (arteriovenous malformation) which caused intracranial hemorrhaging and swelling of his brain. Patrick spent 3 days in the ICU while doctor's tried to stabilize him. On Tuesday Doctor's determined he needed brain surgery and recommended he be transferred to Florida Hospital in Orlando. Once arriving in Orlando, Patrick was having a scope done of his brain and the Neurosurgeon found a brain aneurysm and determined that he needed to perform emergency brain surgery to remove the aneurysm before they can move forward for treatment of the AVM. Patricia (Patrick'sMom) is Patrick's sole care giver as he is a full time student. Patricia is a dedicated mother, daughter, sister, friend & an amazing care giver to children on a daily basis. She is not able to work since this emergency started on Sunday, so this campaign is for the both of them. All funds donated will help pay any hospital bills as well as bills for Patricia so that she can remain with Patrick in Orlando and bring him home safely once he's released.
