Patrick Field’s Memorial Fundraiser

Donation protected
Sometime between Mar. 30th-31st, 2024 we lost a good man; a husband, an uncle, a son, a nephew and friend, Patrick Dean Field at 41yrs young. It was sudden yes but not a completely unexpected loss. Patrick unfortunately struggled with severe alcoholism and eventually succumb to multiple health conditions directly related to his alcoholism. Patrick had a difficult life marred by tragedy from a very young age and unfortunately turned to alcohol to try to numb his pain. He really only started living once meeting the love of his life Lisa but even his deep love for her and her immense love for him, could not save him from this devastating disease.

As with any sudden death, comes sudden expenses. Patrick didn’t have much but we would really like to be able to honour his short life with a beautiful celebration and it is unfair for the sole financial burden to land directly on poor Lisa, especially when she is already going through so much turmoil. Lisa has supported Patrick for the past 18yrs and it is time for us to step up and take some of that burden off her shoulders. So I’m asking all of Patrick’s friend’s & family to please give anything you can to this fund. Lisa & Patrick deserve and need your help so much right now.

We are working on two celebrations of life, one in his home town of Trail and one in Whistler where he spent most of his adult life. We would also like to have Patrick buried next to the two other most important people he had in life who predeceased him, his mother and papa. All of this will cost a fair bit of money so I’m asking you to please give and support Lisa as she honours the end of Patrick’s life the best way she can and how he would have wanted.

Thank you for all your love and support at this incredibly difficult time. And please to all those who really want to honour Patrick, don’t take that next drink. Put it down and never pick it back up. This is an awful disease and it rips families apart, it ruins lives and it takes lives, it is in no way worth it.

First a man takes the drink; then the drink takes a drink; then the drink takes a man.
